"However, the food-to-waste program is going to continue expanding, as the Hermitage Municipal Authority applied for a $4 million bond issue in order to undergo some improvements over the next several months. Customers’ rates will not be affected by the project, Darby said.
The bond issue will allow the authority to purchase a new backup generator that can run whenever the main generator is shut down for maintenance. The new generator is expected to cost approximately $650,000 and will be in service by late April, Darby said.
“The generator we have now has been running pretty much non-stop since 2014,” he said."
