Exciting Updates on the New DEK Hockey Facility We're making great progress on the new DEK hockey facility! This month, we're installing player benches and the scorekeeper’s enclosure, and starting necessary underground work. By early summer, we'll begin work on concrete sidewalks and asphalt trails, aiming for a fall opening, weather permitting.

Fall Baseball League: Ages 6-14 Join our Fall Baseball League for players ages 6-14 (Next year's Little League Age)! Featuring 4 Age Divisions (8U), (9-10), (11-12), and (13-14), the league kicks off on September 8th and runs until October 22nd. Games are held on Sundays, with potential make-up games on Saturdays & Wednesdays. Registration costs $30 per player. Collection occurs year-round on the first and third Friday, 7 a.m. to Noon, excluding shutdown days. Tire & Household Appliance Recycling Hermitage residents can dispose of old tires and household appliances at the City Garage on Virginia Road, with a limit of four tires per visit and no cost involved. Proof of residency is necessary, and residents must call ahead to arrange drop-off. Accepted items include tires (without rims or dirt inside), all household appliances. Appliances containing Freon must have doors disabled, freon removed and properly tagged by a certified technician. Contact the Hermitage Municipal Building for more details at 724-981-0800.

Hard-to-Recycle Events Monthly H2R (Hard-to-Recycle) events are held at various participating locations around Mercer and Lawrence County. These recycling events are free to residents.
