The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce presented a Phoenix Award in Innovation to the City of Hermitage Water Pollution Control Plant for its Food Waste to Energy program, which transforms food waste into electricity to help power the facility. Plant Superintendent Wayne Convert accepted the award at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.
