"The historical society eventually took ownership of the house in 1997, when the building was facing demolition. It has served as the society’s home since then, and McAdams said restoration of the house has never really ended.
“There’s always some kind of project going on,” McAdams said. “Our last big project was when we replaced the roof a couple years ago.”
THE next meeting of the Hermitage Historical Society will be 7 p.m. April 16 at the Stewart House, which society members and the public are invited to attend.
