Police Safety Classes

Your safety matters to us! We are pleased to announce a series of safety classes aimed at promoting personal safety and well-being. These classes are designed to equip you with essential knowledge and skills to navigate various aspects of life more safely. Join us for these informative and empowering sessions!

Event Dates: August 9th, September 13th, October 11th & November 8th 

Event Time: 6pm – 7pm

Event Location: Room 303, City of Hermitage Municipal Offices

Session Topics:

    Sex Trafficking Awareness: This presentation discusses trafficking prevention concepts and classifications of trafficking and traffickers. This presentation is primarily for adults but open to all age groups.

    Social & Emotional Health & Wellness: This presentation discusses such concepts as belonging, self-esteem & cognitive needs and the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships. This presentation is intended for teens and young adults but is open to all age groups.

    Safe Social Media & Decision-Making: This presentation discusses the benefits and risks of social media, the decision-making process and the concept of accountability, sextortion and sexting, cyber-bullying and other crimes committed through technology. This presentation was designed for and primarily presented to students grades 7-12 but includes beneficial information for adults. 

    School Violence & Student Threats: This presentation focuses on types of school violence, the prevalence of school violence in American schools and the reasons for it, the types of threats students make, options and strategies to assess and manage threats and the likelihood that many school shootings are preventable. This presentation is primarily for adults but open to all age groups. 

These safety classes are open to people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you want to enhance your personal safety, gain life-saving skills, or simply be more prepared for unforeseen situations, these sessions are for you.
