CITY OF HERMITAGE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Due to the resignation of William G. McConnell, Jr. effective January 2, 2024, a vacancy has been created in the office of Hermitage City Commissioner. Pursuant to Section 203 (3)(A) of the Home Rule Charter, the position will be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term of office by a qualified person selected by a majority vote of the remaining City Commissioners. A qualified person is defined under the Home Rule Charter as an individual who is qualified to vote in the City of Hermitage and is a member of the same political party as the predecessor in office at the time of the last election. Mr. McConnell was a member of the Republican Party at his last election on November 7, 2023. Written requests must be received by Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Candidates will then be notified of the date and time for public interviews.
