Bulk Trash Collection Days
Bulk Trash Cleanup – Provided by Aiken Refuse
Aiken Refuse, the City of Hermitage’s curbside provider for solid waste, recycling, and yard waste, will offer a one-time bulk trash collection for residents each spring and fall.
Please refer to the information below for details on when bulk items will be collected in your area.
Important: Bulk trash will only be collected from households current on their quarterly garbage bill.

Please place all bulk items at the curb by Sunday night prior to your scheduled pick-up week.
Bulk items will be collected separately from your regular trash and may be picked up any time during your designated week, depending on routing and scheduling.
Below is the bulk pick-up schedule, based on your regular garbage collection day:
Eligible residents will receive one bulk collection, which will be completed by the end of their designated Bulk Trash week.
Bulk Pick-Up Schedule:
- Monday & Tuesday Garbage Customers
Place items at the curb no later than Sunday, March 29
Collection will occur during the week of March 30 - Wednesday & Thursday Garbage Customers
Place items at the curb no later than Sunday, April 5
Collection will occur during the week of April 6
Accepted Items
All white goods, bulk items and larger items will be taken on these collection days. These include, but are not limited to:
- Lawn Chairs
- Lamps
- Bicycles
- Carpet Rolls (no more than 4 feet in length)
- Appliances (large and small)
- Furniture
- Tables
- Washers
- Dryers
- Stoves
- Window glass
- Mattresses (any size)
Freon
Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and freezers must have their doors disabled and Freon removed and be properly tagged by a certified technician.
Items Not Accepted
- Bagged Leaves
- Computers
- TVs
- Fluorescent light bulbs
- Construction material
- Extra household garbage in bags or boxes: This collection is for bulk items only. Extra household trash placed in bags, boxes, or other containers will NOT be collected.
