Administration & Finance
The Administration and Finance Department consists of the office of the City Manager and the various finance offices that are under the direction of the city’s Finance Director.

Building & Inspection
The Building and Zoning Office consists of the Zoning Administrator and is within the Planning and Development Department.

Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Office is part of the Public Works Department and is responsible for the enforcement of the City’s ordinances relating to property maintenance, storage of vehicles, and related issues. This office works closely with the Building and Inspection Office and the Fire and Police Departments.

Community & Economic Development
The Office of Community and Economic Development (OCED), located in the Department of Planning and Development, is responsible for the City’s community and economic development projects and programs.

Fire Department
The Hermitage Department of Fire/Rescue is headed by the Fire Marshal, assisted by the deputy Fire Marshal, and consists of over forty highly-trained, certified volunteer fire fighters, EMTs, instructors and investigators.

Parks & Recreation
The Parks and Recreation Department is headed by the Director, and is responsible for the maintenance and operation of City owned and operated recreation facilities.

The Planning and Development Department is headed by the Director and, in addition to Planning, consists of the Zoning Office, the Building and Inspection Office and the Community and Economic Development Office.

Police Department
The mission of the Hermitage Police Department is to serve, protect, and enhance the quality of life of its citizens and all who work or visit here, through providing police services as well as the constitutional, ethical and impartial enforcement of Pennsylvania laws and City of Hermitage Ordinances with reasonableness and compassion.

Street Department
The Street Department is headed by the Superintendent, assisted by the Foreman, and consists of nineteen employees.

Treasurer
The City Treasurer is the tax collector for the City of Hermitage, has charge of all City monies from all sources, deposits the monies in such depositories as are designated by the Board of Commissioners, and performs duties as directed by the Board of Commissioners.

Wage Tax
In 2012 Berkheimer Tax Administrators has been appointed as the wage tax collector in Mercer County, including the City of Hermitage.

Water Pollution Control
The Water Pollution Control Division of the Public Works Department is headed by the Superintendent, assisted by the Assistant Superintendent, and consists of sixteen employees, including a Laboratory Technician and an Environmental Operations Coordinator.

Zoning
The Zoning Office consists of the Zoning Administrator and is within the Planning and Development Department. The office reviews all requests for building permits, issues permits, enforces the City’s zoning ordinance and related regulations, and assists the public with questions relating to City requirements and processes for building projects.
