The Code Enforcement Office is part of the Public Works Department and is responsible for the enforcement of the City’s ordinances relating to property maintenance, storage of vehicles, and related issues. This office works closely with the Building and Inspection Office and the Fire and Police Departments.
Health Office
The City’s Health Officer is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and performs inspection and licensing of public eating establishments, investigates complaints, reviews plans for new or renovated eating establishment food preparation facilities, and enforces State and local requirements relating to public food service. He also conducts training sessions for employees and non-profit volunteers on legal requirements and recommended food safety practices.
